The need for this type of safety product to be made available has been significantly enhanced by research carried out by the leading research body, the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC), which indicates that such a system could reduce the number of accidents caused by passengers being unrestrained in the back of a car and reduce dramatically the driver distraction associated with the driver regularly checking to ensure the rear passengers are buckled up.

This research is in addition to other statistics from other recognised sources, which in combination give significant credibility to Lockliv’s business model in the marketplace. Additionally, Lockliv has commenced the process of strengthening this professional alliance further by taking steps to consolidate a relationship with international research centre’s as a research partner, potentially in association with recognised insurance companies and related road and traffic authorities and associations.
